Italian Lottery Draw Schedule and Times
Italy runs lottery draws on most days of the week, and the timetable differs noticeably per game. SuperEnalotto, Lotto and the evening 10eLotto share the same slot on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 20:00, while MillionDAY is drawn twice every single day. This page sets out the full weekly schedule, the ticket sales cut-off before each draw, and how the calendar shifts around Italian public holidays. All times are given in local Italian time, which follows Central European Time.
SuperItalianLottery.com is an independent English-language information website. We are not an Italian lottery operator and do not sell lottery tickets directly.
Next Scheduled Draws
Counters are calculated from the standard weekly schedule in Italian local time and do not account for holiday rescheduling. Check the holiday section below before relying on a date.

Draw Times Explained per Game
Drawn Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 20:00 in Rome. Ticket sales close at 19:30 and reopen for the following draw shortly after the numbers are announced. A SuperStar number is drawn from a separate machine for players who added that option.
Drawn on the same four evenings at 20:00, with five numbers pulled for each of eleven wheels including the National wheel. Play is suspended between roughly 19:30 and 21:30 on draw days.
The evening version derives its twenty numbers from the Lotto draw, so it follows the same four-day pattern. Alongside that, a five-minute format runs continuously through the day, and an instant version resolves at the moment of purchase.
Drawn at 13:00 and 20:30, seven days a week including weekends and holidays. Sales close ten minutes before each draw and reopen five minutes after. The Extra draw follows immediately after the main one.
A free companion game drawn straight after Lotto on the same evenings. It is linked to one specific wheel per month, so only players betting that wheel take part.
Public Holidays Move the Schedule
Italian regulations do not permit lottery draws to take place on national public holidays. Rather than cancelling a draw, ADM shifts the calendar: the affected draw is pushed to the next available day, and the draws behind it move with it.
The practical effect is that a holiday week can contain fewer draws than usual, followed by a week containing an extra one to catch up. Numbering continues without a gap, so a rescheduled draw keeps its original competition number on a different date.
Playing From Another Time Zone
Italian draw times are fixed in Italian local time, which shifts twice a year with European daylight saving. For an international player the practical consequences are:
- The 20:00 Rome slot falls at 19:00 in the UK and Ireland, and at 14:00 on the US East Coast during the periods when both regions are on summer or winter time together.
- Licensed brokers usually close entries well before the official 19:30 retail cut-off, because tickets have to be purchased physically inside Italy.
- The MillionDAY 13:00 draw is the tightest deadline for players outside Europe, since it lands in the middle of the European working day.
- Set entries a full draw ahead if you play from a distant time zone, rather than relying on the retail cut-off time.
